Cohesion in Southeast Baltimore
We at Cohesion Theatre Company wish to thank many businesses in Southeast Baltimore for the welcome we have received both in the Highlandtown Arts District and in Canton. The reception of our first show, William Shakespeare’s Coriolanus from November 20 – December 7, 2014, was beyond what we could have hoped for. We did not expect to feel so at home and so welcomed by our community in our first season, even winning the Highlandtown Business Association’s Innovative Arts Award. Because of your encouragement and support, we are dedicated to making Southeast Baltimore our permanent home for all our productions and future seasons.
We are now in the second half of our inaugural season, and we need your assistance to keep producing high-quality theater in this area. For Coriolanus, our ticket sales covered approximately half our production budget, which is not uncommon for theaters and actually quite impressive for our inaugural season. We expect the same to be true for 13 Dead Husbands, and we are raising the additional funds accordingly. We recently completed our Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for 13 Dead Husbands, which provided important crowdfunding support.
Partner With Us!
Cohesion has developed Corporate Sponsorship levels to delineate how we can partner with local businesses. We hope that you will consider these benefits and the many opportunities we now offer as a corporate supporter of Cohesion Theatre Company. We are also open to creative ideas about in-kind donations for our productions, or mutual marketing partnerships. Southeast Baltimore is very important to us, and we are very interested in promoting your organization alongside our productions. We hope that you will help us continue the work that we have started in this community.
There is not currently much theater in Highlandtown or Canton, and Cohesion is dedicated to changing that. Cohesion also makes Highlandtown a destination for residents of Baltimore and the surrounding areas who might not otherwise come to the area, and attracts different demographics to O'Donnell Square. This introduces new people to the area, and to all of your businesses. We trust that you recognize the value of our organization, and hope that you will consider partnering with us to help us succeed.
We hope you will consider donating any amount you are comfortable with. Cohesion is fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas, which receives grants for the charitable purposes of Cohesion. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Cohesion must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible. If you have questions or would like to arrange a meeting with us, please contact Brad Norris at firstname.lastname@example.org.
